Educational Improvement Tax Credit
Sunrise of Philadelphia, Inc. provides out-of-school education enrichment activities and experiences for youth, giving young people in Philadelphia access to learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom. Through Pennsylvania’s EITC program, your contribution can direct its state tax dollars directly to this work.
WHAT IS THE EITC PROGRAM?
Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit program allows eligible businesses to receive tax credits in exchange for contributions to approved educational improvement organizations like Sunrise of Philadelphia, Inc. It's a way to turn state tax liability into direct, local impact for youth in our community.
One Year Commitment: 75% state tax credit on your contribution
Two Year Commitment: 90% state tax credit on your contribution
Contributions may also qualify for a federal charitable deduction, further reducing the real cost of your gift. Businesses must apply through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED); returning donors typically apply each July, with new applicants applying each May.
